Math
We are learning to solve algebraic equations using inverse operations. Students had time to practice in class and then begin homework.

Homework: Practice Sheet 1-7: #1-20

Science:
We finished the jigsaw reading to understand all of the multiple intelligences. We learned about finding the root meaning of science words. Students then practiced finding root words using the dictionary.

Ballroom Dancing at Dzantik' i Heeni
Sixth, seventh and eighth graders are invited to come and learn to ballroom dance Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 16 -November 20 at the after-school Ballroom Dance Club in the commons. This dance form is fun for all ages, and all levels. Instructor Pat Belec of The Dance Loft in Juneau brings years of experience teaching ballroom dance classes in Juneau and beyond. Pat is excited to meet our kids, and to get started helping them cultivate their own dancing ability. Ballroom dancing brings healthy exercise to young people as they practice the social graces of interacting with others. In our second year, this club is supported by the Juneau International Folkdancers and CBJ Youth Activities grant. For more information, talk with counselor Sally Donaldson (463-1899,x219) who is helping to coordinate this refreshing, fun after-school activity.
